Subject:Batch Converter Limit?

Hi,
There seems to be a limit on the number of files you can add to the Batch Converter. If I add too many (somewhere over 250+ files) I get an error that I have selected too many files to process. This seems weird since I thought that's the whole reason of batch Converter... to batch convert lots of files. Any ideas?

I've had problems too, which never occurred with the old v5 Batch converter. But usually it only happens when I'm processing samples using VST plugins, most notably the Nebula 3 plugin from Computer Music magazine.

It's a bit of a pain but I normally just check where it's up to when it fails, then reload the remaining wavs from that point onwards, process those until it fails again, and then repeat the procedure until they're all done.

Yeah, I've been using that same work-around, but it's a bummer it's not working as expected. It's been happening with me even with none VST plus. Thanks!

Although I don't have a solution, I hope it helps when others add a note to say they've experienced the same issue - perhaps makes it harder for anyone to say it's a problem with "your" computer...!

So, same here, but oddly it seems to depend on what processes you run. My studio machine won't do Trim/Crop on more than 200 files. Office machine (more memory, dual core processor) manages 250.

Either machine, however, will convert 400 WAV files to mp3 quite happily. Odd, huh?

The obvious workaround is already posted, I think - select a number of files rather than the whole folder.
