Hi, I was experimenting with some simple recording (guitar track using Line6 Toneport and MIDI drums using EZDrummer). I recorded the guitar just fine. And during playback, the drums sound fine. I adjusted the levels of the guitar to my liking and then rendered the project to MP3 (192kb). When I listened to the mp3, the guitar levels were about 20% lower than during the Post render. I cranked the guitar level fader a little more and rendered again... and still didn't sound as loud it did during monitoring. I was just wandering if someone else hads experienced this? I haven't tried rendering to a .wav file yet. Is this an articfact of rendering to MP3 directly? Thanks for any help! |

You might be experiencing the sonic limitations of the MP3 format. (192K, though high, is still squished.) Does the same project sound OK in a lossless format like WAV? Iacobus |

That's my only thought too. I haven't tried that yet. I'll give it a shot and see what I find out. Thanks! |
