I make a lot of sound loops. In Vegas, you have a preference setting to collapse the selected loop region when the cursor is elswhere. This is good for me. In Studio 8, where I did 99% of my work, the 'collapse' is automatic and that was great too. I upgraded to Studio 9 and got different behaviour altogether. As far as I know, there's no "collapse" setting and it doesn't do it automatically. You now have to click the "loop" button off and on to bypass/play the loop region. Bottom line is there are three annoying steps to achieve the result instead of one. Why was it changed? What was the rationale? Or have I missed a preference setting somewhere? |

Hi J, There is NO "Editing" tab in Audio Studio 9 preferences and this option appears no where else either. Do I have a bad copy? Everything else seems to be working OK. I'm working in Vista 32. |

Ah, we didn't expose it in Audio Studio. But you can still get to it. Make sure you've updated to Audio Studio 9.0a. 1) Hold down Ctrl+Shift while selecting Options->Preferences. 2) Select the "Internal" tab. 3) Type "slave" into the search box. 4) Change the value of "Slave Loop to Selection" to 2, then tab or click away to make sure it sticks. 5) Click OK.
