>>whenever I bring up the clip properties window there is nothing in it. This is caused by a bug we recently discovered when setting the default track settngs. To fix this, reset your default track settings, exit ACID and restart. To prevent it from occuring, when setting your default track settings make sure to uncheck "MIDI Editors". When is a patch for this going to be released? This seems to happen over and over again and is highly annoying. . I've never modifed the default track propertes and when I right click and select "Set Default Track Properties..." there is no option for MIDI Editors, just Audio track properties which are all greyed out and Midi track properties (Height) which is unchecked. |

I realize that the decision if/when to release a patch is not yours, but I paid money to upgrade from Music Studio 6 to Music Studio 7. In this case I am being inconvienced becuase of the upgrade I paid for. Do I need to create an official support case to get ths resolved? |

Hello lofftjm, I am the ACID SQA Lead and have been attempting to reproduce the problem you are having to no avail. I can get the MIDI Editors to disappear and reappear using the Default Track Properties dialog discussed above (this bug is known), but I can't seem to figure out what step I am missing that is causing them to disappear in your case. Have you noticed anything that would help to point me to the right set of steps to reproduce the issue? Does it happen only if you save a project with certain contents? Or if you open a specific AMS 6.0 project? Anything you can think of may help me. Thanks, Nate |

Hi Nate - Peter and I exchanged emails about this same issue a couple of months ago, except in Acid Pro 6d. I had the same issue. I was really upset about not being able to cut/paste between tracks since I work primarily in midi. If I created two MIDI tracks, opened the track properties on one to get to the piano roll, selected/copied some notes, closed that track, opened the other and tried to paste into that piano roll using the paste icon, there was nothing to paste. The paste icon was greyed out I finally figured out that the only way to do it was to rt click at the selected cursor point in the second track's piano roll and choose paste. I could not use the icons to go from copy in one track to paste in the other. This was the same whether the track defaults were set to MIDI EDITOR on or off. Just my two cents... I dont see the MIDI EDITOR option or a place called DEFAULT TRACK PROPERTIES you mentioned above in AP6d. Is there a temp fix for this in AP6d like in Music Studio? It really hampers my midi editing and I work mostly in MIDI. |
