Are there any recommended convolution reverbs for ACID Pro 6? I was considering the Altiverb 6 and was hoping that Acid pro's VST support would be able to support this? If there aren't any recommended plug-ins - are there any stand alones (software of course) that SONY recommends? Thanks! |

I believe I have seen all the conventional Convo Reverbs discussed here. Wizoo, Voxengo, what else... I can't remember. You can search the forums. I have used the Voxengo Pristine Space lite without problems. |

I've had the opportunity to hear both Audio Ease Altiverb and Waves IR. In my opinion, Altiverb is better because it gives warmer effects. The impulses of real spaces sound really good. Waves IR seems to be somewhat more "metallic" even with the real spaces and the default tails are often shorter. Maybe it's also a matter of personal taste... |

>Maybe it's also a matter of personal taste... Hi Pol I agree, I have Altiverb, TL Space and IR1. I found each has its strengths and weakness. Altiverb can be a CPU hog and slow at times (I was a beta tester) Waves can be clunky but has a large impulse library TL Space will import everyone's impulses, Ok CPU usage and very easy to use but!......... a Pro-Tools only plugin. Sooo for me what ever plugin offers the sound that I'm looking for at the moment that's what I use. BTW: I use to have a Cakewalk plugin that would let you design your own rooms or spaces, sorry I don't remember the name. George Ware |
