hi all,
im really digging using Acid, its awesome, coming up with
some radical tracks. BUT my plight is this.
I got all my tracks recorded, got them arranged, etc. they
fit my lyrics just fine, but when I try to record the vocal,
the rest of the track gets recorded along with the vocal
even if i have the speaks turned off and using headphones.
Now I tried to Unclick the PLAy DURING PLAYBACK box in the
record dialog, but then, it doesnt play and you cant tell
where you are. is this a problen only associated with ACID
Music ?? or does anyone of you have a suggestion for me. it
would be much appreciated.

Hello.

This is a soundcard mixer setting you'll have to change. There are no
options in Acid which would allow you to affect this... it sounds
like your soundcard thinks it is supposed to be recording it's own
output plus anything else that goes in through it. You should contact
your soundcard manufacturer for assistance with this.

Thanks.

Hey thanx for the reply, but i figured it out, actually how to do it
is on THIS site, i just followed direction and it works. I now can add
vocals to my ACID Music 2.0 creations !!!!, Can add efx, etc its all
good now !!, what i do is use headphones, and turn off the speakers,
so no feedback, my mic is in my monitor. so just just position my self
and start yelling. works great. it does help that i used to be a REAL
recording engineer in a huge studio, and i know all that entails, so i
got a good base of knowledge to take from, and as i always told when
i taught, its easy if you know your ins and outs real rood!!basically
knowing and understanding the signal path helps immensely

thanx again tho for the response
