I was also considering buying Absynth4 (NI) and was wondering if it would work as a VST plug in through ACID PRO 6 or whether I should consider their stand alone version....

I'm afraid I won't be much help, but...

I know a guy who uses Absynth in Acid, but he doesn't use these forums. He hasn't told me of any problems. I use NI Kontakt all the time, and I have not had problems.

It works fine as a VST plugin

The price is now $199 new. Dropped the other day like many other NI products.

Oh thanks - maybe the reason for the price drop is perhaps a newer version is on the way...at any rate I look forward to this new plug in... :-)

I use absynth 3, sorry don't know anything about 4. You might try posting to absynth-users@yahoogroups.com

I tend to record the MIDI and immediatley render that out to a new audio track and then mute the MIDI, otherwise ACID doesn't seem to run as well, I could probably use more cpu.
