Is there any way to merge two files. What I mean is, say I have two songs each with several tracks. Is there a way to take one or more tracks from one song and insert them as new tracks in the other song. I know I can use the same samples, etc., but if you have created a full drum riff from samples for example, it is very tedious to have to open one file, check the location of the next few beats, open the second file and place them there. Even worse when you have envelopes on all the beats! Thanks Gordon |

Hello Gordon, there is no way to do this. Thanks. Gordon Bentley wrote: >>Is there any way to merge two files. What I mean is, say I >>have two songs each with several tracks. Why not just save the drum riff you built as a wav file, and bring it into your project as a loop? Do you need to have the ability to adjust your envelopes? If you do, revert to the original, make the changes, and resave the wav file, then re-import it. Hope this helps. Thanks for the reply. That is pretty much what I am doing at the moment. I was just thinking it would be much easier if you could bring in the whole sequence with envelopes and individual samples (or bass line, keyboard line, whatever) and then adjust the odd note to match the new tune. One thing I wanted to do was change some of the drum samples in the new song. Guess I'll just have to be diligent about saving all my bits and pieces!
