Subject:Playback of acid pro 6.0D

Hi i have acid pro 6.0D and have noticed that when i am playing back and i put a metronome to it after 30 seconds or so i hear the track slowing down this starts of very slight then gets worse
I have a friend who has vegas video and that does it to
Any ideas?
I have a high spec dual core computer system and running 30 tracks plus!!
