Hi... The program generates a error when i
press the play button. The strange thing is
that the song plays for about 3-8 seconds
and then:

*The music stops playing... but the cursor
continues moving... and when i press the stop
button... It dives...: (SF Acid has generated
an error... You will need to restart the program...)
Something like that...

Hope you can help me on this matter since i´m
dying to start making tracks again...

Would those of you who are having problems on Win2000 please post
your exact error message(s), as well as your system setup (CPU, RAM,
video card, sound card, etc.)? We are actively testing on Win2000
but haven't encountered the problems described here.

Thanks.

Here are my system specs:
Pentium 4
1.4gHz
128 meg of RAM
64MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce2 Ultra video adapter
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card
Windows2000 Professional

The message I am getting is "An error occurred while
starting playback. An unsupported media type was requested."

Thanks for your help.

That's the exact problem I'm having too; "An error occured
while starting playback. An unsupported media type was
requested." Did anyone come up with a solution?

I have run Acid on win2000 and Directx 8 with no problems
with both a Yamaha Waveforce 192XG card and the on-board
sound chip that comes on the MSI K7T Pro2-A motherboard
(different machines).

My SB Live! Platinum combo didn't work at all...due to very
poor driver support for W2K. It is now in a Win98 machine.

It also took me a while to get the Yamaha card to work...I
ended up downloading the latest drivers from the Hoontech
site (v1032 or 1033 as I recall). These have worked like a
champ.

My advice to anyone experiencing problems would be to check
that they have the latest W2K WDM drivers, and also to
search the web to see if others have experienced w2k
problems with their soundcard/motherboard combos.

good luck to all.
