How can I get a sample in a track not be stretched or fitted, so it matches the other tracks? I have vocal sample that I want to layer over part of the song but when I make it it's own track it either gets chopped or fitted to the loop sizes of the other tracks. How can I avoid this? thanks for any help you maybe able to give. kristen |

Okay, how you do this really depends on the nature of your vocal track. If the vocal track was recorded to the tempo of your Acid project, you should be able to change the track to a "disk-based" sample. To do this, right click on the track with the vocal sample and click on properties. Select "disk-based" in the "track type" drop down menu. The defaul track type for shorter samples is "looped." "One shot" still streches the sample to the project tempo, disk based will leave it alone and play the file straight up without any processing. If the vocal track was recorded at a different tempo than the project tempo you will have to trim up the vocal sample and strech it in Acid. Hope this helps. -Tad sirka wrote: >>How can I get a sample in a track not be stretched or >>fitted, so it matches the other tracks? >>I have vocal sample that I want to layer over part of the >>song but when I make it it's own track it either gets >>chopped or fitted to the loop sizes of the other tracks. >>How can I avoid this? thanks for any help you maybe able to >>give. >> >>kristen |
