I am seeking to become a rapper, but the problem is I have
no musci for my raps. This is a major problem I hoped can
be solved by the use of a computer music program. I am
musically challenged...and am wondering which product would
suit my needs...easy to use...easy to understand.. Any
response would be helpful...thank you

Acid will allow you to create all kinds of original or sampled music.
Being musically challenged shouldn't be a problem - you'll just have
to do a lot of experimenting to figure out how to sync everything for
the best sound. You should check out www.acidplanet.com and listen to
other rap artists to see just what you can do with this program.

You'll have to register to listen on ACIDplanet, but you get to
upload you music for other to hear and get feedback on it. I think
you'll be pleasanly surprised at how good this program is.

You should also think about getting a good audio editor - Sonic
Foundry's Sound Forge XP is good if the full version is more than you
want to spend. The audio editor will allow you to hack up loops and
wav files to get a completely different sample than what you started
with. It will also let you do some post processing if you plan to
burn it to CD.
