I bought Acid Music over a year ago then put it down while fiddling with Cakewalk and building a DAW. Now I am tinkering with it again. I make hip-hop beats. I have some questions. Is there a scrub feature in Acid so that I can run a cursor over notes and hear them so I can edit? Also how can I get the same effect/sound as when you put your finger on a record and push it forward and get a "Thrraaah" type of sound or similar and then start playback at the point you were at before you inititated the "thraa" sound? I already took the tutorial found on this website. Anyone know of any internet sites with other Acid tutorials, tips, and tricks? I need to know how to use this prog inside out. In depth tutorials help. |

Hello Andre, ACID doesn't have a scrub feature currently. You can try click- dragging your loop across the play cursor as a stop gap measure in the meantime. Just left-click and then drag the loop back and forth across the play cursor to hear particular sounds within your loop. Though it's a crude method of scratching, you can try editing your loop and in a sound editor that has a pitch bend envelope. (Shameless plug) In Sound Forge under the Effects menu, select Pitch and then Bend. Apply a rising bend envelope. It doesn't have quite the same effect, but heads in the right direction. We're working on putting together an ACID Tips document. Any suggestions/requests you have would be greatly appreciated. Keep your eyes out for a full-blown tutorial around the end of the year.
