I am a new ACID user and was looking for feedback on
recording vocals in a .wav format.
Can this be done in ACID 2.0 or do I need to do it in
another application?

You can record directly into ACID 2.0 - there is a little red dot on
the tool bar for 'Record'. Your sound card will need to have a mic
input, or better yet, an 'Audio In' jack. With the 'Audio In' jack,
you can use an external mixer to input external sources - mics, tape
decks, turntables, or whatever.

ACID will create a .wav from your recording. If your sound card is
full duplex (will play and record simultaneously) you can record your
vocals while listening to the looped music.

If you listen to the music while recording vocals (which I think is
necessary) I am getting a loop back echo where the music playing
through the speakers is being re recorded through the mike.

Any help would be appreciated.
