Subject:What is the optimal setup for Acid/SoftSynth/MIDI?

I am ready to expand Acid's capabilities into the realm
of MIDI. But, I've been reading the problems that others
have had snycing SoftSynth programs with sequencer programs
and Acid. So, what is the best way? I have a KORG M-1,
and would like to get better sounds, and incorporate it
into my writing projects. Which applications work the best
with this type of configuration? Obviously, I would need a
MIDI interface. How about the MOTU line of interfaces.
What about ReBirth, and Performer? Is this a start? Will
this work...WORK WELL?
