Well yes and no......

Using DVDA only....NO.

Using a 2nd party program such as VOBEDIT yes you can modify the Navigation
Packs color schemes changing the Alpha a little bit at a time. Alot of manual editing
and if you make a change in DVDA you have to restart over.

You can fake fading in a highlight in the background video and set the loop point
in the menu when the hightlight is all the way up.

EDIT: at the loop point drop the fake highlight the real one will take over

AFAIK it seems most people who've posted here do some variation of fading the intro into a snapshot of the DVDA menu page complete with highlight. If I'm creating the highlight mask, then I can also overlay it in Vegas using the same color numbers as DVDA -- I overlay it fading in until 100%, then (opt. fade) off, if that makes sense. And FWIW I always render one extra frame of video only if separate intro mpg2 to allow for cutting the end back one frame for no black flash -- immaterial if using loop point.

Yeah..only I'm hoping not to make a min clip for each of these instances. I have about 63 of 'em. If I could fade up the highlights with teh crop pan box, like the background, that would be ideal. At this point it seems acceptable for the highlight buttons to pop on via loop point over the deselected state embedded in the still graphic background.
