Subject:Do other people have to reinstall Acid over time?

I am a newbie.
Have Acid Pro 6 - with latest update. Had a custom
daw built for Audio.
I have been working on 1 project for 3 months. After
about 8 weeks I notice certain Acid functions no longer working.
Can't not load plug ins, Mute automation no longer works.
If I reinstall all will work again.
Is this normal?

It's not normal at all. I think it indicates that you have some sort of ongoing corruption with your Windows installation.

Instead of a full reinstall, try holding down both Shift and Ctrl while starting up ACID.

Definitely not normal.

I would run a full AV scan to check you don't have a virus or other unwanted application messing with your drives.

thanks for the info. Turned out my Saffire 10 i/0 is bad. I have to excange it. Hopefully this will be the end of reinstalling Acid.
