I have a soundblaster awe 64, emagic logic 2.0 sequencer, and acid pro 2.0. I want to sync these two apps, but I get an error from acid that "the device is already in use" whenever I try to start the song. I have tried to use the sf virtual midi router, but I get the same error. Please help!!! |

My experience with any kind of "virtual midi connection" between two independent applications has always been extremely bad. My experience has been that Acid is more attune to clocking with external hardware. It does that very well, you're on your own with the virtual router. Software manufacturers rarely make their programs compatible with their competitors programs. Just a thought. -Tad steve blatt wrote: >>I have a soundblaster awe 64, emagic logic 2.0 sequencer, >>and acid pro 2.0. >>Software manufacturers rarely make their programs compatible with >>their competitors programs. >> Not true in our case. Compatability with a tool like ACID is important to us. We have ProTool users working with ACID as well as the PC DAW and MIDI sequencing tools. Having ACID be incompatible on a hardware standard level would not be a good idea. While ACID can be used stand alone - ACID Music, DJ, etc - ACID Pro is designed to integrate into and be used with existing applications. We are very aware of this need and strive to improve it.
