I use acid hip hop 2.0. I want to be able to hear the beats when I'm recording vocals. Is this possible on my version of acid or do I need to upgrade. Also I need to know how to change the tempo of one loop without changing the tempo of the whole song when i mix loops together. |

Let me answer your second question first... Right Click on the name of your loop in the list on the left of the screen and select 'Properties'. Now in the Properties box on the bottom left, adjust the number of beats. This will compress or expand your loop without affecting the tempo of the rest of the song. Now for your first question... You can only listen to the other tracks while recording if your sound card supports duplex mode (meaning that it can play and record at the same time). If yours does, then you should be able to record while hearing the rest of the song play. But I don't know if it will work if you have looped play selected. It may not allow this, or it may stop playing at the end of the loop while continuing to record. For best results, I would have a good full length skeleton of the song already laid down before adding vocals. That way you can record all the vocals in real time for the complete duration of the song. Hope this helps. Jason wrote: >> I use acid hip hop 2.0.
