I've just had this for 2 days now. I just can't seem to figure out how to match tempo or bpm for that matter for a whole song. I've recorded a song from a cd and it says it's 532 bpm and the loop I'm tryin' to use is 8 bpm. I matched it up for the first part then when I paint in the rest to follow the song, it's all off beat. The damn box said"Acid takes care of all the details, like synchronizing tempo and key, so your music turns out great every time." That's what made me buy Acid, now it doesn't do it? I'm new to this mixin' on computer stuff, usually, I use my turntables to mix, but I have stuff on CD I want to make mixes with. Any DJ's out there usin' Acid and figured how to make the tempos and beats match? You can post your response to this or e-mail me at (jpinoy@home.com). Thanks in advance for any help...... Peace....... |

ACID may be confused by your outside samples and incorrectly guessing the BPM. All loops made especially for ACID contain encoded information for ACID's synchro algorithm. If you record your custom loops into Sound Forge XP, you can time stretch or compress them and 'Acidize' them especially for use in ACID. Check the help files in ACID also, their may be some info about using your own loops - I know it can be done because I've sampled CD's and made loops that have worked flawlessly. Getting Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge XP is a good investment too and you can find it on the internet for around $33USD. If you don't have a CD burner and are thinking about getting one, a lot of them come bundled with CD Architect which includes Sound Forge XP. I got my burner for less than $150USD and got $395+ worth of software for free! Anyway, that was more info than you asked for, but remember that ACID is for loops and not importing whole songs. You make the whole song using the loops! Good luck! Jay Propeack wrote: >>I've just had this for 2 days now.
