ACID music 2.0 Registration woes.... -ACID Product Family

Subject:ACID music 2.0 Registration woes.... Posted by: mhilla Date:11/24/1999 10:58:00 AM Okay, I finally bit the bullet and put my finishing touches on a nice little home studio with all the tools I need (mixers, computer, instruments etc.) One of these was the incorpoation of Acid music into my regeime. I like this programs simplicity and speed compared to everything else (who said the good stuff costs $$?). However I have an issue! Even after entering the products serial # that I received with my software (first page of the manual), it still pops up that "YOU MUST REGISTER WITHIN 7 DAYS VIA FAX OR INTERNET" disclaimer at the beginning. For most people this is not a problem. FOR ME IT IS! I DO NOT HAVE A MODEM IN THAT COMPUTER. Much less a phone line in my studio room. I only have a laptop with a modem...so that rules out swapping one in, and I do not want to buy a modem for a machine that will never see the internet. Especially when it is not listed in requirements for Acid. Why would you choose to FORCE registration in this matter? If what I think is right, even though I entered the serial # etc. it still hast o be unlocked by doing this... WILL I LOSE FUNCTIONALITY IN 7 DAYS? -Matt Hilla

Sorry you're having a hard time. Yes, you will lose functionality. I
suggest you contact Tech Support to get registered. Click the link
