When I playback a track, there is a lot of noise on the track (almost like analog tape hiss). In record mode, the monitor levels read noise (at aroung -27 db's) before I even play anything! Is it a grounding or electronic problem? Sound card problem? My computer is new so that shouldn't be an issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I bought a Montego II by Turtle Beach w/digital and analog stereo outs. I cant believe how quiet this card is. I have done a number of dumps down to DAT in analog and I can't tell difference between the Digital and analog outs. It is amazingly quiet. better than -97 db noise floor on my spectrum analyzer. It also will run less than $100 US for the analog only version. Good luck |
