After installing the software I can't even start it. I just get a blue screen crash that has something to do with the hal.dll file. What's wrong? This is probably a driver error or something, but does anyone more about this? |

First, _please_ contact our tech support with this problem. They are the true support arm of Sonic Foundry. Click on Tech Support above and you can e-mail them. The Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)indicates some kind of driver problem. Only a kernel mode driver/service can cause a BSOD. ACID does not install any such drivers. What version of ACID are you running? What audio hardware/CD-RW hardware, etc, etc are you using. Peter Pete wrote: >>After installing the software I can't even start it. I also got it when running the Tutorial at the SF Website. I never got a BSOD before I used Acid Music. I have not been able to determine what the exact problem(s) could be. I do suspect it is something to do with Acid Music. Salute, Lewis |
