Subject:mp3 encoding in ACID Pro 2.0

i don't know if this is a bug or what, but i'm having a
hell of a time encoding an acid song to mp3.

if i set the mp3 quality to the lowest point (which
translates to a faster encoding time) it takes roughly 5
minutes to encode a 2 minute and 15 second song. if i set
the mp3 quality to the highest point (meaning a longer
encoding time), i have no idea how long it will take to
encode that same 2 minute and 15 second song since i've
never been able to get it to finish. i just waited 23
minutes before giving up and coming out to the forum for an
answer. i have tried this numerous times with different
tracks (all of them being under 2 minutes in length) and i
have had the same results.

anybody else having the same problem?

i have a 400Mhz machine so i know it's not a horsepower
issue.
