Subject:Stange things happening when creating loops............

Quick question that may or may not have a simple answer.
When using Soundforge to record samples and live drums from
another source, and then editing the sounds into one bar
loops I am having a very bizzare problem. The loops and
sounds themselves are fine, and sound good when played back
in sound forge or in any .wav player. The problem is that
when the loop is imported into acid (the acid properities
are set in sound forge for the correct # of beats, etc.)
the playback has a slight phase-shifting quality about it.
It is very hard to notice, but is really annoying.
Other .wav loops that i did not create (i.e. streetbeats)
do not have this problem at all. Really has me scratching
my head as all the sounds are fine when viewed in any
editor. Its as if something is wrong with the playback in
acid, but only for those specific loops. Any and all
advice is welcome.

Cheers,
Tim

Hey Tim,

Got the same problem...Trying to rip and loop samples off CD I
recorded last year. Everything sounds great and then at the end of
the loop, there is like a click or something. Tried making the loops
shorter, does not seem to help. I'm thinking that I must be missing
a step.

I have absolutely the same problem when importing loops created with
DRUMBOX (a freeware 909-like drum machine program). The loops play
back fine in Cool Edit 96, in DRUMBOX (obviously), but, not in Acid
Music 2.0. I'm setting Acid's tempo to the exact same tempo as the
others progs (meaning no time-stretching algorithm is needed), but, no
dice...

For me, the click is very, very audible and not just a subtle little
thing.

Any ideas anyone???
