Subject:Cannot see FX Windows when I click on + for FX

I am a relatively new user of Acid 6.0. I have not yet mastered the various view capabilities of Acid. The current problem is that I can no longer see the FX windows which typically arise when you click the + shaped icon (next to the record button) on each track, in order to add fx, and to adjust the various parameters of VST FX. Whether I attempt to add FX either by clicking on the +, or by using the "Insert Assignable FX" from the upper menu, the window containing the VST effect (e.g. , the box for Track EQ, reverb, etc) is no longer visible. I suspect this is the result of moving the size of various windows, but no attempts to correct this--to restore the original state of the Acid screen- have resulted in being able to view the FX windows. I have tried moving the lines, all of the different options on the "view" menu, and looking for a "restore default view" option--but no luck. I'm sure there is some simple solution to this--but I don't have it! Thanks! |

Well, if you shut down ACID, then hold down Ctrl and Shift while you start it up again, it will reset everything including all the window locations back to the factory default. The problem is, it will reset everyhing, including all the little tweaks and changes you've made that you would rather keep. |

Tried it. Settings did restore to defaults--but the effect window still did not open! |
