Subject:In Acid 7.0 can we please....

Have a couple if not ALL of the features of Vegas 8 :

For example when working to picture in Acid, can we re-size the movie window so we can grag and make it larger...

AND can Acid 7 adopt the Windows layouts so we can switch between them with key commands? - in Vegas i have 1 = sequencer lanes, 2 = Full video screen expanded to the whole screen like a TV..

AND FINALLY - like Vegas, can we get Acid 7 to open ALL types of files? it doesnt seem to recognise .MOV files so i have to open in Vegas and RE_RENDER to wmv or somthing to get it to play?

Surely these fixes are all ready written in Vegas so are not brand new things, i would just like Acid 7.0 to adopt them too!!!

If you could do this in Acid 7 then this would be great!

Judging by Acid Music Studio 7

1) Resize video works fine. Just wish it would undock (tends to be a pro thing though)

2) Switching layouts. Hope so, again seems to be a pro thing

3) Opens .mov fine for me (at least the one I tested)

4) Acid will be great - ^^^ will just make it even greater :)

You can already resize the video preview in ACID Pro 6.0 as well as send it to an external monitor. Also as Ken pointed out, MOV files work just fine. You probably need the latest version of Quicktime installed. So the only thing ACID doesn't have from you list is the layouts.

Really? - everytime i drag it the outer window gets bigger, but the screen dimensions do not?

In vegas when i drag it, the whole thing moves so you can have a full screen tv if you like.. Also didnt know about the QT thing? thought i was running the latest QT?

When i drag in a QT it only diplays the audio track? - is this me? or is this a setting i need to tick for it to accept MOV files?

It jumps in multiples of it's size. So after 720x480 you have to resize the window to 1440x960 to get it to display that big but it works on my 1680x1050 monitor just fine.

What codec was used to make the QT file and is it installed on your system? QT/MOV is just a container like AVI. You still need a compatible codec for the media it contains.

BUT..

Surely if the mov works fine in Vegas 7 (another sony app) that it should work fine in Acid too?

Yup. If it works in Vegas is should work in ACID. Not sure why this isn't happening for you. All of the MOV files I use in Vegas work in ACID too.
