I just purchased and installed Acid Music Sudio v.7, i wasn trying to make a dance mix but im having problems matching the bpm on the tracks so they can be linked and mixed together having the same beat. I tried the beatwizard, but in some songs the beats are off, how can i fis the tracks that are off so they can match the same same tempo/pitch/bpm? Thanks |

When you used the Beatmapper, did you save the beatmapped information with the file? This should be an option the very last screen. It's important that you do this so beatmapping is saved with each individual file and not the project. Also are you using WAV's or MP3's? I don't believe that beatmap information can be saved to MP3's so you must use WAV files for this to work. If the beat is drifting because the tempo of the song drifts then you have two options: (1) You can use a tool like Sound Forge to adjust each measure of the song to the same tempo or (2) you can map the tempo of the project to match the drift of the song. I have tutorials on my web site for both of these fixes: Using Tempo Mapping to Fix Tempo Drift Using Sound Forge to Fix Tempo Drift I would recommend the first method. In fact, if you are just concerned about the songs mixing as one ends and the other starts, I would just tempo map the end of each song to the start of the next. Who cares if the tempo drifts during the song. ~jr |
