When, oh when, are we going to see an upgrade to Acid? I've
been using ACID for over a year now here in the Scotland
and I am desperate for some new tools/flexibility to assist
in the creation of tunes.

Come on Sonic Foundry, get your digital finger out.

slainte,
Andrew.

There is a version Acid Pro 2.0 up on the Sonic Foundry site.It
has other programs bundled with it which adds value, but I don't know
if there is any actual new release of Acid Pro,unless its a big
secret?

I was all set to order this update, but when I spoke to the very
helpful Sonic Foundry salesperson, she confirmed my worst suspicion
that ACID PRO '2.0' simply bundles existing Sonic Foundry software
like Sound Forge XG and adds nothing new to ACID PRO itself. This
seems a lost opportunity to create something really special out of
software which is already special. I'm disappointed, and I won't be
ordering the 'upgrade'. Perhaps Sonic Foundry would like to respond?
And I'm still awaiting Sonic Foundry's response to my suggestion of a
special price for registered ACID PRO users to purchase VEGAS PRO.

Regards,

David

Thanks for the heads up but for those of us using 'Music' or the
little brothers, it's probably a good deal. For my deal I need the
upgrade if for nothing else but the fact that Acid Pro syncs to MTC
and unfortunately Vegas Pro has a bug in this area...sorry it's
vaporware for you existing Pro guys...I mean no one needs another
copy of SF XP! yikes! What about the CD burner option? whassup with
that? I hope it's not that worthless "Siren" deal...it's not even a
decent ripper at this point!
