Subject:sw1000xg effects & acid pro. how do i access them

Have just bought Acid Pro and a Yamaha SW1000xg soundcard.
Both are wonderful things...but how do i access the on board
effects of the card via Acid? Can't see any obvious way to
do this,spent all the cash so can't afford plugins and am
feeling stoopid stoopid stoopid :(

My understanding is that the effects are for the tone generation part
of the sound card and not for applying to .wav files. In other
words, you can apply the effects to the sound caused by playing midi
files, but not directly on the audio signal.
