Blowing Interface Driver- sometimes -ACID Product Family

But, I placed a wav file in a track that was recorded onto a flash card deck and transferred to the computer. When I add a new track and try to record along with this external origin track - KABOOM! Meaning - the recording goes to an awful buzzing and stops responding, followed by a spontaneous restart of the computer. I have to reload the interface driver, and reset the audio device in ACID back to the interface from the default. Whoa. Did that twice, reset everything, and went back to laying fresh tracks in an all-fresh direct recorded project. No problem. Clues? Using a Behringer FCA202 firewire interface.
