Subject:This wav loop format - Help

I have a bunch of loop CDs which I don't know how to use using ACID. These contain wav loops with seconds of silence between each section. i.e. there are around 70 wavs on each CD and each one is some 10 MBs (1 minute) long, and each wav file has a number of loops each seperated by a second or two of silence. The bpm is not mentioned. I don't have a sampling machine. How can I use the loops? I have soundforge, ACID Pro and cakewalk. Manually chopping each wav file into the seperate loops using SoundForge is an option but it's going to take too long that way, and may not be very accurate. And I don't want to waste that much time either. Here's a sample of a loop wav file I've converted to mp3 and uploaded for reference (compressed to 400 KBs) - http://www.fortunecity.com/oasis/southend/298/Track06.mp3 http://members.tripod.com/qsads/Track06.mp3 (The fortunecity link is faster I think) These are great loops and I hate to see them lying around unused after I waited so long for them. (The friend who sold these to me said he has another bunch in AKAI format if I can use them). Neole |

If your loops are great you wil have to work on them. Use sound forge to extract loops, and than ACID to acidize them. You will need some kind of instrument ( keyboard or a guitar ) to check the key of loops and a rytham machine will be helpfull to check BPM. If you do not have time you can pay somebody to process them, anyway it will take a long time. Alex Neolee Egen wrote: >>I have a bunch of loop CDs which I don't know how to use >>using >>ACID.
