Subject:Recording Electric Guitar on Acid Studio

I just purchased the latest upgrade for Acid Music Studio that is compatible with Win Vista (ver 7). I have a Creative SB X-FI Elite Pro sound card with an outboard console that has a special jack (Hi Z) to plug in an electric guitar.

I have been unable to record my guitar into the Music Studio program. I can hear my guitar thru my speakers but it won't record.

I've tried different settings on the Audio Device page but nothing has worked. When I choose Windows Classic Driver I do get all the correct inputs for my sound card but when I try & record I get a message saying-

"An error occurred while recording. The request is not for this device."

I'm very new at this so I'm probably doing something wrong.

Any suggestions?
