Using Avid MXF files

I need to use some footage captured by an Avid - DV in an MXF wrapper.
Is there a way to make the files work in Vegas?

I used Avid before switching to Vegas and I could never get Avid captured footage to work in anything but Avid. You might try the Avid forum but I wouldn't hold my breath.

AFAIK Vegas can't read the variant of MXF that Avid uses (Op-atom or something like that).

From Avid you could:
- Export a quicktime or AVI with the DV footage.

?- Export an EDL, and re-capture from tape via firewire/DV. Though from what I remember Vegas can only export an EDL, not import it correctly.
