Hi, I batch convert hundreds of files, then they all open up in SF as editied files. Then I select "Save All" thinking I can just save them all with one click. But I get presented with a Save Yes or No box, and I have to click Yes for every single file. Shouldn't Save All let me do just that without being prompted to save each one individually? Thanks! It depends on the file type and whether it existed beforehand. If it is a compressed file type, Sound Forge is not always able to determine the proper template to match the original, particularly if you change the format (sample rate, bit-depth, or channels). Can you specify the file types and how you are batch processing them? Also, if you are using the Batch Converter, you might try using it's saving capabilities instead of leaving all the files open and saving manually. J. |

Hi J., The files are 44.1, 24-bit WAVs. I just add an effect, like Trim/Crop, or an EQ. I don't add any Save options in the Batch Converter, and let the files be directly changed. I'd rather the files didn't reopen at all in SF. That's not necessary at all for me. I'd like to apply the process to all the files and be done with it. Thanks for your help! You can use the Save options in BC to save over the original files in the original format. Just select "Same as source" for format, name, and folder. Or change the name or folder if you don't want to overwrite the originals. J. |
