Subject:How the Fxs effects works ??? Separate ? In chain??

May I connected the Fxs in chain or not ??. For example
If I have effects of compression and reverb for one track,
compression affect the signal with reverb or not ???.
It's posibble to asign effects in chain for one track or not
??
