Subject:Acid FXexpress "beep noise problem" w/ Acid Music, help!

I recently downloaded a demo of the FXexpress2 effects
package for Acid Music. When I apply an effect to a track
and play the track, there are continuous beeps that
interrupt the playback. The beep pattern is a low-pitch
beep at the beginning of each measure and a high-pitch beep
towards the end of each measure. What is happening? I am
running Acid Music Demo on a thinkpad laptop with a pentium
233mmx and 64mb ram, so It shouldn't be my hardware.

Also is it possible to apply multiple effects to a single
track?

Another question: Is it possible to apply an effect to only
a certain block within a single track, or does the effect
have to apply to the entire length of a single track?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Could it be that its the "demo" software inserting the beeps?

Our demo plugins insert the beep. This is our way of letting you hear
the results, but not letting you use the plugin in a production.
