Subject:How do I add an FX plugin???

The pdf file points back to the website for how to setup directx plugins. Yet, there is nothing there. Why is this made so complicated? Background =========== I have bought DJ for the loops and Music for the unlimited tracks and effects, etc. I bought $150 (discounted from $350) of Big Fish Audio loops at a Guitar Center sale. And now I'm trying to use Hyperprism, a kick-ass plug-in product (or so it seems). So, now the question: how do I insert the plugins provided by Hyperprism, into Acid Music?? Can someone please point it out to me, or tell me what to rtfm. Thx, John McKnight gonzo@blkbox.com |

No Tan do: Acid Music doesn't support DirectX plugins. You need ACID Pro or ExpressFX for that. Whatever HAPPENED to the DirectX STANDARD?????? Thanks for the reply. ExpressFX looks fairly cheap. If I buy ExpressFX, will that enable me to use HyperPrism? I really want to use it! :) Thx, JM David Abraham Fenton wrote: >>No Tan do: Acid Music doesn't support DirectX plugins. >>You need ACID Pro or ExpressFX for that. No, ExpressFX are proprietary Sonic Foundry plugins. You would have to use these *instead* of Hyperprism. (In other words you can't use the DirectX version of Hyperprism in ACID Music/Style, but you can use it in ACID Pro. John McKnight wrote: >>Thanks for the reply. ExpressFX looks fairly cheap. The ExpressFX plugins are not proprietary in any way. They are fully operational DX filters and can be used with any software that supports DX plugin filters. ACID Music/Style is limited to only using the ExpressFX plugins. It still uses them as if they were DirectX plugins, but will only allow these plugins to be used.
