Why does ACIDPlanet use Microsoft's Windows Media Technologies? Is there some advantage over Real Audio that I am unaware of? I would very much like to participate in ACIDPlanet but I am very hesitant to download the MS software unless there is some other compelling reason to do so. JV |

I also have been unable to listen to the posted music at ACIDPlanet. SFoundry suggested I download and install Windows Media Tools (wmtools.exe). I did but my computer locked up as I tried to install wmtools.exe during setup. Twice! I managed to uninstall it without incident, I think. However there is other music posted at Acid Casualties Division website that plays well with Real Player. No problems at all. I'm sticking to Real Audio.
