Odd...from one day to the next, my mouse wheel has stopped scrolling and zooming. I have no explanation other than it worked yesterday and today it doesn't.

If I point my mouse to the timeline and scroll, nothing happens. Same for CNTRL+scroll... nothing. The same mouse works fine in my browser and scrolls just like always.

Any ideas? Is there a setting to enable/disable this function in AP6d?

Probably something you've already thought of, but just in case ... the timeline has to be selected as the active object in order for scrolling and zooming to affect it. Just putting the mouse pointer in the timeline won't do it. You have to click somewhere for it to become active. Otherwise what you're doing with the mouse wheel is affecting whatever screen area you were last using.

Thanks for the suggestion.I am clicking in the timeline, then scrolling the wheel. Nothing happens. It's so weird...It has always worked up until now..
I would suspect the mouse except it works in other programs - Internet Explorer, Cubase and FL Studio.

PLEASE dont tell me to uninstall and reinstall the program...again
:)

What type of mouse are you using? (e.g. Microsoft? Logitech? Off Brand?)
How are you connecting the mouse? (usb, wireless, cord).
Are you connecting the device through a hub or directly into your computer?
What software are you using with the installed mouse (Intellipoint? Logitech? generic windows driver? etc)
Which version of Acid are you using?

My advice is go buy another mouse and see what happens. Try something by Logitech maybe the LX7 which provides better application support. Or if this problem happened recently try selecting a system restore point to a time when your computer was working properly. This always does the trick when you can't exactly narrow down what you installed since then. Also check in the options menu and try things like "enable multimedia keyboard support" and others settings you may have disabled.

Side Note: The biggest pain is using Microsoft Intellipoint software because the mouse will scroll too quickly and there is no way to adjust the gradient lower. If you are using Intellipoint software make sure that you are using a newer version, esp one that supports your mouse. I have had good success with 5.2 and 5.3. Anything later like 6.1 will cause graphics to freeze up and weird stuff. Also if you have a Microsoft keyboard that has a built in scroll wheel or mouse this can also cause conflicts. I have a Microsoft bluetooth keyboard and cannot install the Intellitype driver due to this.

Im using a Microsoft USB mouse into the PS port with a USB-PS converter with AcidPro 6d. Using the generic windows driver with success up until now.
I will try two things - I iwll try the mouse into a native USB port and if that's not good I have another mouse I can try.
Will check in after I try these two solutions!
Thanks fr the suggestions,
Flo
