Subject:clips in my vocal recording

Do any of you know: My vocals are sounding good going in but clipping
like mad upon playback. All my
levels are fine, I'm using good equipment, good sound card etc.
It's not the "playback buffering" either
because I have that set pretty high already. Any ideas? I'm dying
here. Appreciate it.

Are the levels clipping the input meters on Acid when recording? How
about on the MIXER page are the faders too high for the card to
handle? Its got to be somthing simple like that if they sound while
recording. Good luck
