What are your output settings? (44.1 kHz 16 bit, 24 bit, 48 kHz?) This
error
is caused by attempting to open the audio device at a bit depth or
sample
rate that it does not support.

Peter,
I also get this message (I wonder if it has to do with the fact that
my speakers are hooked to my PC via
USB using the new Phillips USB set?)

Anyway, my audio outs are set to 44.1Khz and 16bit (should I change
any of these?)

And, do I need to go into the advanced options at all?

This error seems to come up when I make changes realtime (ie like add
a new sound - while a loop is
playing)

Thanks for any insight...

I'm getting this same error. I changed all of my audio settings to no avail, chould it be something else?
