Hi, I'm new to this discussion group, but have read many of the threads & am seeking answers before I buy the product. (at the moment I think Acid Music is the one for me) I would like to ask about loops not only in different keys, but in minor keys etc.. I've briefly tested Acid Pro at my local music store & really liked the capabilities & that set me thinking..... I'm thinking that I could lay down a drum track using the loops - no probs there. Then lay down a bass track such as from Bruce's Chuck Rainey collection in the various keys, but I noticed that all the loops on the hard drive at the music shop had hip titles instead of saying what key they were originally intended for. I'm thinking that I'd have to listen to them all & rename them to title that I'd be able to remember like Jazz bass in Am etc. Of course I could make my own loops - but I don't own a bass & anyway I'm crap at playing it ! After having dont a bass & Drum line I'd like to record vocals & guitar overthe top & I'm getting bad vibes from all the folks posting problems with sync-ing these tracks. Bruce do you have any advice on the concept of setting up a song using a loop based drum, bass & keyboard tracks, adding a 4 or 5 vox & guitar tracks on top & then doing a mix down to CDR? Cheers & thanks for all the advice I read so far. Baggers |

two things: if you have a loop and don't want to change the pitch in Acid (which I do all the time for great effects, especially on percussive loops) go to your friendly audio editing program and just change the pitch while preserving the tempo. Easy. thing two: I record vocals, guitars all sorts of stuff in Acid and dont have any trouble - as long as I dont try and clean up the "dead air" at the beginning of the recording - you know, before I try and play. I can mute that portion, so its quiet, but I can't delete it or nothing sounds right - like you say, out of sync. dana Dave wrote: >>Hi, >>I'm new to this discussion group, but have read many of the threads & >>am seeking answers before I buy the product.
