Subject:Acid and Audiowerk8 sound card

I can't seem to get Acid to recognize that there are 8 outputs on my
soundcard. The mixer only shows stereo L/R. The sound card is
correctly installed as other programs are able to use all 8 tracks.

Any ideas?

Only ACID pro can talk to multiple devices.

I have ACID pro ( I must have been one of the first ACID users. ) Mine
can find ALL audiowerk 8
outputs. I am going to be upgrading my OS. I have Windows-2000 beta
relase candidate 3
You guys tested w/ this thing yet ? Shoudl I waste my time, or stick
to 95/98 ?

I've now got all 8 outs in ACID Pro (installed recent driver version
for sound card) but now I get digital distortion (crackling) if I
route tracks onto more than just a single pair of outputs. Also, it
tends to crash.

Well, I'm glad they're compatible. I think I must just be having
driver difficulties. I had an old Audiowerk8 driver which didn't
recognize multiple I/Os. However, since installing the update,
although I can access all 8 outs and use them, I get distortion when
I route on more than one pair. Any idea what might cause this?
