This program is for use with Sonic Foundry ACID. You can
pick a directory, and ACIDIZER will add a RIFF tag to each
WAV file it finds beneath that directory (and its sub-
directories!). This RIFF tag tells ACID that your WAV file
is a one-shot, so you don't ever have to bother with the
settings each time you import a WAV into ACID. Saves me a
HECK of a lot of time for my thousands of drum samples!

Head on over to

Please let me know how this works out for you!

Wy would I want to tell ACID that my .wav file is a one-
shot? Some performance advantage?

"Wy would I want to tell ACID that my .wav file is a one-shot? Some

No ... I don't think that's the idea. It's only for single shot
samples
(like cymbals and snares, etc.) that when imported into Acid sound
terrible.
(Acid guesses these aren't one-shots but actually loops and gives
them crazy
tempos like 1276 BPM). It's great for people using drum samples in
Acid, as
it allows them to get rid of that weird stuttering effect when
playing
one-shot (and really short) samples back.

Oh but man, that stuttering effect can be GREAT! I use it all the
time, makes incredible drum
rolls if you do it right. Still a handy program IF you could remark
all the samples as easy a
marking them.....
