Subject:Muting a built in Mic on a Laptop

My friend and i just got the software today and it looks really
promising but when when we tried
to record from the line in we got sound from the built in mic on the
laptop. How do you mute the
mic or localize what on the soundcard you're recording? I appreciate
the help...im using it on a
film and with this out of the way i'll be ready to go...
