Anyone use Acid on a new Intel Apple imac?

Am looking at a new pc to go with my mac, but thought that the new imacs llok good and can run windows under bootcamp especially with the new Leopard OSX thats coming with it built in!

i take it this would be the same as running it on a good spec PC?

I would say yes. Although I haven't put the Sony apps through anything really challenging on my macbook pro (strictly used as a remote unit), Acid, SF & Vegas all seem to work fine on the bootcamp partition. Others have posted similar results and I haven't heard of any specifc problems going this route.

I have a Mac Mini, Mac Book Pro (17"), and a Mac Pro, and all of our products work just fine using Bootcamp on these.

I don't see why the new iMac would be any different.

The biggest issue will be how third party audio hardware works, but so far I have not had any issues with firewire or USB based devices.

SOUNDZ -- AWESOME, I really cant live without ACID, as I use it to mix down all my loops.

Acid works fine on my Macbook Pro and Mac Pro. However, like Peter said, third party audio hardware may be an issue. I have consistent drop outs when recording audio into Acid (or Soundforge) with my DIGI 002R (a firewire based audio intereface) that makes recording into Acid almost impossible. However, my previous Mbox 2 (a usb audio interface) worked without a hitch, so keep that in mind.
