Is there any way I can download a couple loops from anywhere so I can get started using the technical and editing aspects of Acid? So far I've heard good reviews about Acid but I just want to see if it has everything I'm looking for before I make a purchase. |

You could check out the Sonic Foundry site under Products to get a complete list of all of the loop libraries, which each have their own type of .wav files, ranging from Native American instruments to Pure Synth Destructo-rama. They're all pre-ACIDized, so they're ready to roll. You can also get various sample loops from other third party vendors, which may or may not be ACIDized, and might involve more work (They usually cost significantly more than the ones Sonic Foundry sells, btw.) Otherwise, if you're looking for free ones to download, I don't know that there are any currently available on the net. You might want to try Michelle Klein-Hass' ACID Casualties website--I think she was looking to set up a loop exchange program. Good luck. I may have misread your previous email, sorry. If you just want a few samples, check out http://www.sonicfoundry.com/shopping/catalog.asp, and scroll down to the Loop Libraries and click on demo. There are ACIDized .wav's available for free downloading there.
