Subject:skipping playback

When I have the mixer open or move the cursor over a place
where an explanation pops up, i get a little click in the
playback of the song. When no VU is visible and I don't
move the cursor, playback is fine. I am running a Pentium
2 400mhz with 64 megs of RAM through a Creative AWE64, with
no such skips in other audio programs. Any suggestions?

never mind, I found out it was this stupid ISA SB AWE64
card that was giving me troubles
