FX Plug-ins Make weird Noises -ACID Product Family

Subject:FX Plug-ins Make weird Noises Posted by: Jekyl1 Date:3/16/1999 10:20:03 PM Hi! I downloaded the FX plug-ins but everytime I try to use an effect, I get weird beeping noises. I can hear the effect, but these beeps kinda get in the way. Any ideas on how to stop the beeps? I am using a Darla card with a Pentium 233 MMX, 64 M Ram, yada,yada,yada. Thanks- Jeremy

If you like them you can buy the real thing and you won't get the beeps anymore. It's impossible for me to determine whether or not these products are worth purchasing when they insert all that extraneous noise! How can I listen for improvements in click and noise reduction with BEEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEP going on during the entire process? Alas, I shall seek another vendor for plugins. I'm fond of Sound Forge (just upgraded to 4.5) but this method of demo'ing plugins is less than useful. I've heard good things about WAVES products...they use a time limit per track on their demos (and the usual lack of the save option), but 90 seconds is more than enough for me to evaluate the products' usefulness.
